The city

Heidelberg.
Where adventure starts.

University City

Young, vibrant, international

Germany's oldest university calls Heidelberg home. With 30,000 students, the city has a pulse — late nights, open culture, dozens of nationalities living side by side.

Castle & River

A city that takes your breath away

Perched above the Neckar river, Heidelberg's castle has watched over the city for 600 years. Rugby practice ends. The view doesn't.

Welcoming & Safe

Find your home away from home

Heidelberg is one of Germany's most foreigner-friendly cities. English is widely spoken. The community is open. And the club makes sure you're never alone.

The Club

125 years of sport.
And we're still hungry.

Sport Club Neuenheim was founded in 1902. Next year we celebrate our 125th anniversary — a milestone that puts us among the oldest and most storied rugby clubs in Germany. Over more than twelve decades we have won multiple championships, built a culture of excellence, and produced players who have gone on to represent their national teams.

The club connects members who go on to careers in medicine, law, engineering, and beyond — united for life by shared sweat and shared values. We play hard, train seriously, and make sure every player — wherever they're from — feels like they belong.
